Hot sweats are not always perimenopause!

A client recently came to me struggling with symptoms she believed were related to perimenopause. She was waking frequently at night and struggling to get back to sleep, experiencing hot sweats, brain fog, fatigue, and anxiety. These issues had been ongoing for about a year. Her doctor had prescribed HRT, but she noticed little improvement.

During our consultation, more details emerged: she had a rash on her hand, a gluten allergy, frequent thrush, and noticed that sugary foods worsened her symptoms. Examining the rash suggested a possible candida flare-up, which aligned with some of her other issues.
I prescribed a constitutional remedy of Sepia, tailored to her mental and emotional picture, alongside a four-week course of Candida 30c.
Within a couple of weeks, she reported significant improvements: she was sleeping better, had more energy, her skin rash had cleared, hot sweats disappeared, and she felt emotionally steadier.
This case highlights the importance of pinpointing the underlying causes of symptoms before starting treatment. Many women assume perimenopause is responsible for changes in sleep, mood, or energy, but often other factors—such as infections, dietary sensitivities, or hormonal imbalances—can mimic these symptoms.
"After months of HRT with little effect, Joanna identified underlying causes I hadn’t considered. Her homeopathic treatment improved my sleep, energy, and overall well-being within weeks. I finally feel supported, understood, and like myself again."
