She thought she had to hide this from me...

I wanted to share something a client recently said to me, because I think it will feel familiar to a lot of people reading this.
She told me she felt nervous to let me know she had started antidepressants.
But what stayed with her most was that she didn’t need to feel nervous at all.
We talked about how life had become too difficult to manage on her own, and how she had already tried different forms of support to cope with how overwhelmed she was feeling.
What came up for her, and something I hear quite often, is that sense of: “Why does everyone else seem to manage, and I can’t?”
There’s a lot of self-questioning in that space. A lot of pressure to keep going. And often, a feeling of being stuck in survival mode without really realising it.
For her, what helped most wasn’t adding more pressure to only take the natural route or more things to manage.
It was having space to understand what was happening underneath the overwhelm, in a way that didn’t feel intense or overwhelming in itself.
The combination of antidepressants and homeopathy together meant that she wasn’t constantly running on empty which gave her more room to start understanding herself differently again.
I share this because many people assume they have to either “push through” or “try harder” when they feel depleted like this.
But often the first step is actually the opposite. Creating enough steadiness internally that things don’t feel quite so loud all the time.
If this feels familiar, you’re not the only one. The healing journey is rarely simple or straight-forward and you need to feel supported every step of the way.
I’ll be sharing more real life success stories like this.
